About Columbus Athletic Club:
Columbus Athletic Club is a private strength & conditioning facility that offers athletic performance, personal training and semi private training for athletes and adult clients. We work with athletes starting at age 12 and up, and have worked with athletes of various sports backgrounds including football, baseball, softball, soccer, and more. Our goal is simple: help athletes unlock their athlete potential.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and eager Strength & Conditioning Coach to help assist us in our Youth Performance program. This program starts as a shadowing position with our Head Coach to eventually running a group training session independently. This is a part time position at a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Aid in teaching and coaching group training sessions with a Head Coach
- Display effective communication and teachability in barbell training and speed training
- Display effective communication in exercise science principles and proper application of those principles
- Display effective public speaking skills
- Help monitor progress and progressions for various athletes
- Help guide and motivate youth athletes during training sessions
- Must be able to effectively communicate with parents, new members and others of our services
- Perform Performance and Movement Assessments on new athletes
- Maintain a clean and safe workout environment for clients and athletes
Requirements:
- CSCS* (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, NSCA) Certification, or Equivalent Certification, and/or Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science or Related Field from an Accredited University
-CPR, AED Certified
- 1 Years Experience in Strength & Conditioning, Fitness, and/or Coaching
- Strong knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, and physiology
- Understanding of barbell strength training
-Pass our required Background Check
- Experience working with clients of all ages and fitness levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
